The April Consumer Price Index (CPI) data will be released

y the US Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday,

May 11 at 12:30 GMT, and as the day approaches, 

here are the projections from economists

and researchers at 12 major banks for the impending US inflation print.

CPI is predicted to fall to 8.1 percent from 8.5 percent

 in March on an annual basis. The Core CPI, 

which excludes volatile food and energy costs, is expected to drop to 6% from 6.5 percent this year.
