Rafael Nadal Parera (Catalan: [rf()l nal pe], Spanish: [rafael naal paea]; [4] born 3 June 1986) is a professional tennis player from Spain. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has him rated world No. 5 in singles;[1] he has been ranked world No. 1 for 209 weeks and has ended as the year-end No. 1 five times. Nadal holds the record for most Grand Slam men’s singles titles with 21, including a record 13 French Open victories. He has 91 ATP singles titles (including 36 Masters titles), 62 of which he has won on clay. Nadal’s 81-match winning streak on clay is the longest in Open Era history.
Nadal was one of the most successful youngsters on the ATP Tour, reaching No. 2 in the world.
